Luxury Poolscape, Sunken Boma Seating & Contemporary Stone Finishes

A bold entertainment-focused residence where architectural landscaping, resort-style water features, and precision stone detailing come together to create an exceptional outdoor living environment.

This project centred around designing a space that feels both luxurious and highly liveable — anchored by a striking pool, integrated sunken boma lounge, expansive entertainment terraces, and carefully considered material continuity throughout the property.

Every surface was selected to complement the home’s refined modern aesthetic while ensuring durability, comfort, and timeless visual appeal. The result is a private lifestyle space designed for entertaining at scale, relaxed family living, and year-round enjoyment.

Used throughout the boma, pool surrounds, terraces, and key circulation areas for a clean contemporary finish with strong architectural lines.

Pool & Sunken Boma Feature

The centrepiece of the project is the integrated circular boma lounge set within the poolscape — an ambitious design feature that transforms the entertainment area into a destination.

Bullnosed detailing around seating edges, stair transitions, and surrounding surfaces ensures the feature feels sculptural, refined, and seamlessly connected to the wider landscape.

Contemporary Paving Language

Flamed Granite Flagstone was selected for its crisp squared profile and sophisticated flamed surface texture, a surface that is both safe when wet and comfortable under barefoot. Careful consideration was given to the tiling starting points and the paving width, allowing the diagonal pattern flow and reducing unsightly cuttings.

Supporting Utility Areas

Rather than neglecting back-of-house zones, matching Flamed Granite Cobble products were used in secondary service areas behind the main entertainment space. This ensures practical zones still feel integrated into the overall design rather than visually disconnected.

Vertical Texture & Material Balance

Ridgestone cladding introduces layered texture to feature walls and pillars, softening large built forms while adding warmth and depth. The Heritage / Greys palette ties naturally into the paving tones and existing residence finishes.
