Cobble Driveway, Flagstone Patio & Cladding Installation

A large-scale residential installation where expansive cobble paving, flagstone entertainment areas, and stone cladding come together to define a structured, high-impact arrival and cohesive outdoor environment.

The project centres around the driveway as the primary architectural feature, supported by flagstone paving across the porte cochère, pool, and patio areas. Cladding is used selectively on pillars and walls to introduce depth and contrast, with lighting integrated throughout to enhance form and material after dark.

COBBLE DRIVEWAY & FORECOURT

The driveway forms the defining feature of the property.

A large cobble-paved forecourt, laid in a random three-size configuration, establishes a strong sense of arrival while softening the scale of the space through variation in pattern. A triple border detail frames the layout and introduces subtle structure, reinforced by integrated lighting that adds depth and visual definition in the evenings.

Despite its scale, the driveway remains controlled and understated, allowing it to support the architecture rather than compete with it.

PORTE COCHÈRE & FLAGSTONE TRANSITION

At the entrance, the material palette shifts to Antique Chateaux flagstone, creating a clear transition from the driveway into the covered arrival space.

The use of a random multi-size pattern and a more weathered surface texture introduces warmth and contrast against the structured cobble paving, while maintaining continuity in tone across the broader exterior.

POOL & ENTERTAINMENT AREAS

Flagstone paving continues through the pool and outdoor living areas, reinforcing a consistent material language across the property.

The larger format and varied pattern create a more relaxed, open feel suited to entertainment spaces, balancing the more formal structure of the driveway. Bullnose detailing is used to define edges and transitions, ensuring a cohesive and finished result throughout.

CLADDING & ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES

Stone cladding is applied selectively to feature walls and porte cochère pillars, adding texture and depth to the vertical elements of the design.

The interplay between smooth rendered surfaces and textured cladding creates contrast, while integrated lighting enhances shadowing and detail, particularly in the evening. This allows the architectural features to remain prominent without overwhelming the overall composition.
