A thoughtful outdoor renovation where dated timber decking was replaced with premium stone finishes to create a cleaner, more contemporary poolside environment.

This project focused on transforming an existing entertainment area into a space that feels calmer, more architectural, and better connected to the surrounding garden. Large-format paving, layered planting zones, and refined wall finishes work together to elevate both function and atmosphere.

Pool & Patio Transformation

Replacing timber decking with stone paving immediately modernised the space while reducing long-term maintenance concerns associated with outdoor timber surfaces. The generous flagstone format creates cleaner sightlines and a more open visual flow around the pool, helping the area feel larger and more resolved.

Contemporary Cladding Features

Ledgestone cladding was introduced to selected walls to create texture and visual weight without overwhelming the space. This contrast between smooth paving planes and layered stone surfaces gives the project a balanced, designer-led feel.

Levels, Access & Spatial Flow

New steps and integrated planter zones add movement and structure to the layout. Rather than a flat pool surround, the area now feels intentionally zoned — with clearer transitions between entertaining, lounging, and garden edges.
